The Light Show are a high-voltage four-piece indie-punk outfit hailing from just outside Halifax.
Blending raw energy with irresistible hooks, their sound hits like a collision between The
Subways and Arctic Monkeys—but with a fresh twist that’s entirely their own.
Their tracks race forward on driving riffs, sing-along choruses, and lyrics that cut straight to the
everyday chaos of modern life. Built for sweaty rooms and shouting crowds, The Light Show’s
live shows are a full-throttle experience—no holding back, no second takes. It’s that intensity
that’s earned them a growing fanbase and support slots with the likes of Toploader, Antarctic Monkeys, and The Complete Stone Roses, including packed-out gigs at The Wardrobe
in Leeds.
Their latest tune ‘Plan For The World Cup (Come On England)’ is a world cup anthem to rouse the nation in support of the lads this summer - full of the eternal, genuine belief that this year England will finally bring football home. Packed with passion, cheering crowds and referees whistles the track is everything our nation loves about football - it will appeal to the masses - while still retaining the signature northern indie-punk sound of The Light Show.
The Light Show are proving that guitar music is alive, loud, and ready to set your playlists on
fire.
